About Us
Founded in 2000 by Jonathan Hendry BA (Hons) DipArch PGCert ARB RIBA, Jonathan Hendry Architects has over 25 years of experience in the field.
Jonathan Hendry initially trained at University of Hull and completed his Diploma of Architecture at University of North London (CASS, now London Met). Jonathan is an RIBA Chartered Architect and is joined at his chartered practice by architects Holly Barker and Bailey Rawson-Spink.
From their studio in the Lincolnshire countryside, the team at Jonathan Hendry Architects work on public, private and commercial projects across the UK. Visit our ‘Case Studies’ to view some of our bespoke commissions, from initial conception to completion.
Ethos & Vision
At Jonathan Hendry Architects, we believe that every successful project relies on close collaboration between architect and client. On commission, we take time to build a thorough understanding of the client’s requirements and the needs of a building’s users. Consultation with the client at every stage of the project is essential, ensuring effective project management, a high quality of service, and that specific requirements are met.
Our aim is to always exceed client expectations, and many of our projects have received regional and national awards, including RIBA Awards and Housing Design Awards.
In 2011, Jonathan Hendry was awarded Young Architect of the Year and he empowers his team to deliver the same high calibre work for which he is renowned.
As a practice, we are especially interested in projects which have sustainability at their heart. As well as working on bespoke family dwellings, our commissions include public and community-led designs which are focussed on community accessibility and economic viability.
Paragraph 84 (formerly Paragraph 55, 79 & 80)
Jonathan Hendry Architects are UK leaders in Paragraph 84 dwellings. This specialist planning clause allows for the development of new, isolated homes in the countryside, providing they meet specific criteria including exceptional design and quality, with 10 projects obtaining planning permission to date. Our most recent commission, Kingsfield Pond, was awarded a RIBA Regional Award 2024.
